Black Diamond Humidor

$3000 (Sold)

18” wide, 11” deep, 6” tall.

I’ve had the idea to create a bold, 3-dimensional, geometric pattern. Due to the visual complexity of this design, I decided to use a wood that was dark and dramatic… lending itself to become a striking humidor.

I used Ebony for the primary material, and as authentic humidors require, Spanish Cedar for the interior. The tray is also constructed with Spanish Cedar, and laser-cut with a matching diamond pattern to promote ventilation.

A brass hygrometer measures humidity, and two humidifiers control moisture content by adding distilled water to an internal sponge. All instruments are removable for maintenance. The top is a subtle grey tempered glass. The bottom is veneered with Mahogany inside and out. The hinges are premium solid brass.

As is traditional for humidors, the box interior is unfinished. Due to the hardness of Ebony, I opted to simply hand-polish the exterior with wax for a natural and silky-smooth feel.

This is a one-off piece. There is no other exactly like it and there never will be.
